At Bupa Dental, we believe that looking after your smile with regular check-ups is part of living a healthy life. That’s because your oral health is tied to your overall health and well-being. To help you protect your smile (and, consequently, your health!), we strive to make it simpler to receive effective, high-quality dental care.

Our team believe that a positive dental experience depends on a certain level of comfort and trust, which is why we put an emphasis on providing a relaxed setting and open communication. The friendly, attentive staff at Bupa Dental will listen to your concerns and take the time to explain your treatment options in an easy-to-understand manner. This begins during your initial appointment, where your dentist will chat to you about your individual goals and answer any questions you might have.

We then build on this relationship by delivering excellent care that serves a broad variety of needs. Our dentists have years of experience, and they use up-to-date technology to help deliver comfortable treatment, for all patients. With our skilled staff and modern facilities, we are well-equipped to detect and prevent oral health problems as early as possible to help reduce pain and maybe even costs!

If you’re also looking to improve the appearance of your smile through treatments such as teeth whitening or dental veneers, we can help you understand the best options for you. Since your health and well-being are always our main concerns, our services aim to improve both the look of your teeth, as well as their healthiness and durability.

Our high-quality treatments, caring staff, convenient Bourke Street location and expertise in customer service will help you receive the dental care you need to stay healthy!

Simone is known for her patient, gentle and understanding approach, especially to anxious patients, and treats all of her patients as if they were family members

Away from the dental chair, Simone enjoys traveling. Her most recent travels were with a voluntary team to treat children and injured patients requiring jaw reconstruction in Vietnam.

Dr Leon Anaf

Dr Leon Anaf

Leon graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1971 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After working in London for two years, Leon bought a dental clinic in Adelaide. He then moved to Melbourne in 1977 to establish a general practice on Collins Street with a special intent in cosmetic dentistry.

Outside of the dental scene, Leon’s hobbies include traveling, cycling and golf; as well as having fun with his grandchildren.

Dr David Liu

Dr David Liu

David received his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 2010. He went back and completed his Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Implants) in 2015. He enjoys being hands on and knowing that he has a direct impact on his patients’ oral health. Due to this he is especially interested in dental implants, root canal therapy, crowns and bridges. He is also able to speak Mandarin

His favourite part about working in the dental industry is when he is able to ease his patient’s pain, gain their trust and help them restore their teeth. He loves it when they can smile and eat happily. He wants to make sure that patients understand that prevention is key, enamel doesn’t grow back and that a small cavity is easier to fix than a large one. Outside of work he enjoys soccer, playing guitar, cycling and looking after his baby girl.

Dr Gina Yang

Dr Gina Yang

Gina graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2015. Dr Yang believes she could never get bored of the industry as she gets help patients, do a wide range of procedures and meets a wide range of people all the time. She has a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry and letting patients know all the options that are available to them.

She believes that prevention and maintenance are the keys to good oral health. Outside of work she likes to fuel up with coffee at the great cafés around Melbourne and going to the gym.

Samantha Raw

Samantha Raw

Samantha Raw is an Oral Health Therapist who received her Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Melbourne. She decided to pursue a career in health care to enrich others’ wellbeing. This has led to her interest in helping to treat periodontal disease as she gets to follow improvements in her patients’ oral hygiene as a result.

Samantha believes that prevention is the key to better oral health so her aim is to empower people to take control of their oral health and help them to prioritise that. She also finds cleaning teeth to be very satisfying. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys travelling, futsal and snowboarding.

Laura completed her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2011 at Curtin University. She chose the dental industry as it requires a mix of academic and practical skills. Her favourite part of the industry is meeting new people and being able to play a role in improving someone’s health. She especially loves helping nervous patients become empowered.

She has a special interest in oral hygiene education and believes that the most important thing a person can do for their own oral health is to take control of it. Prevention of disease is much healthier and cheaper than trying to fix things once they become a problem and prevention can be as simple as brushing and flossing every day! When she isn’t working she enjoys cross stitch and origami.
