Meet the team
Principal Dr Robert Aslan (BDS Syd. Uni.)
Dr Aslan Graduated from Sydney University in 1985 with BDS. He is a firm believer in the use of technology to improve outcomes for dental solutions for his patients. Dr Aslan firmly believes in minimally invasive dentistry. He maintains that prevention of dental disease is essential in modern suburban living, where the stresses of life impact greatly on the health of the dentition. He is also very aware of the impact of the teeth and jaws on the body as a whole.
Dr Aslan has been recognised as a leader in dental Laser technology and has taught hundreds of dentists and specialists in the effective use of Lasers in dentistry. Previous techniques applied to save many teeth that others have deemed not to be restorable, have benefited greatly with the Laser technology. Dr Aslan has kept many patients with chronic periodontal disease healthy for years without the painful and expensive techniques that have been taught in the past. Many patients that have given up on the old techniques are now under comfortable management. Dr Aslan understands how precious his patients time is, he has been able to convert many treatments that traditionally took months to complete, into a single day treatment. He takes referrals from other dentists who understand the great results obtained from the Laser technology applied at his surgery.
Dental Evolutions Sydney uses leading edge technology to diagnose dental problems, he invites the public to drop in and take a look at what technology can do. People are amazed as to what is actually achievable now.
Dr Aslan has taught locally and internationally and is the current Australian trainer for Biolase Laser systems. He lectures often on the use of Lasers in the surgery, periodontics and minimally invasive cavity preparations.
Dr Aslan uses operating microscope and has refined techniques for the minimal preparations, often no anaesthetic is necessary.
Dr Catrina Carroll (BChD Hons. Leeds Uni)
Dr Catrina Carroll grew up in England and graduated with honours from the University of Leeds in 2010. She showed a considerable talent for dentistry right from the outset, achieving numerous outstanding achievement awards and medals throughout her studies.
After graduating Dr Carroll focused on general dentistry in a large mixed NHS/private practice and went on to complete The Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Carroll then developed her interest in surgery by practising maxillofacial surgery in hospital where she had specialist training in surgical extractions, particularly wisdom teeth.
After moving to Australia in 2012 Dr Carroll spent two years working in a busy private practice in Taree, before settling in Sydney and joining Dental Evolutions team.
Dr Carroll enjoys and excels in all aspects of dentistry, particularly restorative, oral surgery and complex full mouth rehabilitation. She uses contemporary materials and latest techniques to produce dental work that blends seamlessly with natural teeth. Dr Carroll is committed to enhancing her knowledge and skills for the benefit of her patients, and therefore keenly attends numerous post graduate courses to keep up to date with the current advances in dental procedures and technology. Her work ethic is gentle, friendly and reassuring and she is particularly good with nervous patients and children.
Dr Carroll is committed to helping her patients achieve the best oral health possible by delivering treatment in a comfortable, empathetic and relaxed manner. She likes to put a strong emphasis on preventative dentistry rather than waiting for a problem to transpire.
