Dr James Douglas

Dr James Douglas
Dr James Douglas attained a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in physiology, from the University of Otago (NZ) in 1978. He then completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1982. The two degrees have shaped his holistic approach to dentistry, providing a deep understanding of the effects dentistry has not only on your teeth, jaw and face, but on your overall general health and vitality. Dr Douglas’s holistic approach has led to a special interest and expertise in orthodontics, temporomandibular joint issues and sleep dentistry.
Throughout his dentistry Dr Douglas maintains a philosophy of tooth conservation with a focus on his patient’s long term oral and general health. Dr. Douglas offers the latest in orthodontic treatment including Invisalign. Dr Douglas is also skilled in cosmetic dentistry and can rejuvenate your smile with treatments including teeth whitening, veneers, implants and crowns.
Dr. Douglas continuously seeks further education, keeping up to date with the latest dental innovations and techniques as a part of his commitment to the wellbeing of his patients. This leads him to conferences and seminars throughout Australia and America on a regular basis.
Dr Adam Alford

Dr Adam Alford
Dr Adam's overall goal is to provide you and your family with all your treatment needs in a professional, friendly, caring and relaxed atmosphere. Dr Adam Alford aims to explain your treatment options in an easy to understand manner. With this in mind he believes it’s important to work with a team who compliments this vision.
He graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours, in 2000 after moving down from Brisbane. Dr Alford has worked extensively in Country, General Family, Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontic and Dental Implant practices, in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
Dr Alford has strong beliefs in offering patients options with supporting information on the positives and negatives of these options. He believes this enables you, as the patient, to make an educated decision and to decide the treatment that best suits your particular circumstance.
In his spare time Dr Alford enjoys being a dad to his three kids aged 8, 6 and 3 and occasionally squeezing in some exercise.
Dr Maria Giles

Dr Maria Giles
Maria speaks Spanish and is more than happy to treat those from the Spanish speaking community. Maria works some Saturdays at the practice, which is convenient for people who cannot attend an appointment during a normal working week. Maria enjoys going to the gym and enjoys learning mindfulness, meditation, and aromatherapy. She is trying to introduce a holistic approach
Dr Reeynaa Ohm

Dr Reeynaa Ohm
She believes that the key to long-term clinical success is excellent dental treatment and motivating the patients to make positive lifestyle changes. Although passionate about all aspects of dentistry, her special interests include Advanced Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics & Prosthodontics. Her professional time is spent between working at our practices and mentoring students at the University of Queensland - School of Dentistry.
Outside of work Reeynaa enjoys yoga, baking and reading fiction.

Zoe Clarke

Zoe Clarke
Zoe graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003 with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Oral Health) and has been working as a dental hygienist and therapist in Brisbane for over six and a half years. Zoe joined the Face Value Dental team in January 2010 and has become known for her gentle and caring approach.
As an oral health therapist, Zoe aims to assist patients in achieving optimum oral health through prevention of dental disease. As an oral health therapist, Zoe performs thorough scale and cleans on all our patients and is able to treat mild to moderate gum disease. Zoe has also gained extensive experience in children’s dentistry through her dental therapy work. As a therapist, Zoe is able to restore teeth, apply fissure sealants and remove baby teeth when necessary in children from four to seventeen years of age. Her aim is to give all patients as pleasant an experience as possible in the dental chair.
Steve Ahn

Steve Ahn
Steve joined our team in August 2014 as an Oral Health Therapist (OHT). Steve graduated from the University of Otago in 2010 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. He has been working as a dental hygienist and dental therapist in Australia since graduating in both private and public dental settings. He also worked as a research assistant at the University of Melbourne.
