Bruhil’s career began in the Australian Army, where she served for 11 years, two years as a dental assistant and nine years as a dental hygienist. After completing her qualifications in 2002 with Distinction from Curtin University, she continued to expand her knowledge and impact, including time as an associate lecturer at the School of Dentistry at Griffith University. Her career has spanned diverse settings, from makeshift clinics in remote Indigenous communities to supervising university students treating patients for the very first time.
Now in private practice, Bruhil’s patients often span generations with many of the children she once treated now returning with their own families. She values the opportunity to tailor care to each patient’s needs and works collaboratively with colleagues and the wider medical community to find solutions that balance clinical outcomes with individual circumstances.
Bruhil is known for her warm, empathetic approach and ability to make even the most anxious patients feel comfortable. She believes that good oral hygiene starts at home and is committed to providing practical, personalised advice, whether it’s around diet, brushing technique or choosing the right products.
With a strong belief that oral health is essential to overall wellbeing, Bruhil empowers her patients with the knowledge and support they need to maintain the best level of dental health.
