Bupa Dental - King William Wheelchair access / Accessible entry At Bupa Dental - King William (previously Riken Dental Group), we’ve been caring for Adelaide’s smiles for over 30 years. Conveniently located in Adelaide’s CBD near Rundle Mall, we offer our patients with warm service in a modern, clean environment.

Our practice was the first in Australia to use the Cerec porcelain restoration technology, so it’s no surprise we have a particular focus on crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays. We also offer an array of general and children’s dental services, teeth whitening, root canal treatment and more.

Our dentists have a strong focus on patient education, and want each patient to be fully informed about all available treatment options and what each one would involve. We tailor each service to your specific needs, making sure your treatment plan is right for you as an individual.

With your standard of care as our priority, our practice is QIP (Quality Innovation Performance) accredited, and our clinicians are committed to continuous education and professional development.

We accept patients from all major health funds, and look forward to welcoming you and your family at Bupa Dental - King William.

Meet our staff Dr Huebl graduated from Adelaide University in 1976. After working as a Dental Officer in Royal Australian Air Force in Wagga Wagga from 1977-79, he purchased a Dental Practice in Dec 1979, which was known as Riken Dental Group and now proudly rebranded to Bupa Dental King William.

From the early days, Bupa Dental King William has been modelled on three principles:

Function:
- Dr Huebl co-founded the Occlusal Studies Group in mid 1980’s
- Was first user of Cerec technology in Australia in Dec 1990

Cosmetics:
- Member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry - 1988-1996
- Co-founded South Australian branch of Australian Society of Dental Aesthetics in 1998

Prevention:
- Has worked with Dental Hygienists for his entire career

Dr Huebl has remained in touch with the University of Adelaide community through his past involvement in the Homeless Dental Clinic at Common Ground, becoming Chairman of the CPD (Continual Professional Development), as well as holding a position on the committee of the Dental Research and Education Fund (DREF).

Dr Huebl’s favourite sport is golf and he is an avid member at both Royal Adelaide and Victor Harbor golf courses. He has been married to Debbie since 1978 and has son Paul (wife Susan Babidge and children Helena and Joseph) and daughter Meagan (son Ezra).
Dr Nigel graduated from both King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry (London) and the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 1989. Having attained his qualifications for Board registration, Nigel continued his academic studies to be awarded a Master of Science Degree in Dental Public Health and Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College, London two years later.

Nigel has 30+ years experience working in all the major fields of dentistry; has taught and led clinical teams in hospitals and regional centres in the UK.

Nigel moved with his family to Adelaide in 2008, where he has worked in both private general practice and held senior clinical roles with the South Australian Government.

Nigel provides general dental services to adults with a particular interest in prevention of dental disease.

He has wide experience in the provision of restorations, fixed prosthodontics such as crowns, bridges and implants, and endodontics (root fillings). Nigel has continued his professional educational development, most recently studying for a certificate in neuroanatomy with Cambridge University (UK).

When not working, Nigel loves time spent with family, discovering regional South Australia, gardening and conscientiously failing to train his stubbornly wilful rescue dog.
Dr Meagan Huebl decided to follow in the family tradition of dentistry, having graduated from the Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2010. Prior to this, she graduated from a Bachelor of Science in 2005. Meagan is passionate about dentistry; she is currently a member of the ADASA Council. She is interested especially in anterior restorations (aesthetic), CEREC porcelain restorations, and dental implants. Meagan is also qualified to treat patients with Sleep Apnoea.

Aside from dentistry, Meagan enjoys spending time outdoors with her son and two dogs. She enjoys travelling in both her local area and abroad.
Tricia graduated in 1992 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and has worked in both general and specialist dental practices. She has also tutored Dental Hygiene and BOH students over the years. Tricia has been with Riken now for the last 18 years and in that time has developed a wonderful rapport with her clients. She has a special interest in dental care for the elderly but also the treatment and prevention of gum disease.

Outside of work Tricia enjoys jogging, going to the movies, walking her two dogs and travelling.
