Meet our staff Dr John Huang is an Associate Dentist with 5 years of experience in general dentistry. Originally from Taiwan, John moved to Australia as a teenager and completed his dental degree at the University of Queensland, earning a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hon Class I). He has worked in general practice in tropical north Queensland and has now settled on the Sunshine Coast to be closer to his family and enjoy the coastal lifestyle.


John is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry and is known for his gentle manner with patients. He takes pride in building strong relationships with his patients, listening to their needs, and providing personalized care. John's calm and caring nature puts patients at ease, making even the most anxious patients feel comfortable.


In addition to his dental skills, John is fluent in Mandarin, allowing him to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. When not practicing dentistry, John enjoys ocean activities such as surfing, scuba diving, and fishing. He appreciates the Sunshine Coast's beautiful beaches and outdoor lifestyle, and is excited to be a part of the community.
Dr Joshua Jong grew up on a farm in Borneo. He moved to the UK to study Dentistry at Newcastle upon Tyne in 2007. Upon graduating, he worked for several years in general practice in Newcastle before deciding to further his studies. He went on to complete an MSc in Restorative Dentistry from Manchester and an MSc in Implantology in Rome. Josh has a keen interest in Restorative and Implant dentistry as well as Invisalign. He really loves getting to know his patients and is known to enjoy a chat.
Outside of work, Josh is a passionate foodie who loves to cook for his wife and son.
Dr Brent Evans is an Associate Dentist with 25 years of experience in general dentistry. He has a particular interest in root canals, implants, and aesthetics, and has completed postgraduate training in prosthodontics. Dr Evans has previously run his own dental practice in Brisbane.


Dr Evans is committed to providing high-quality care to his patients, taking the time to listen to their needs and concerns. He believes in educating patients about their treatment options and works closely with them to achieve the best possible outcomes.


Outside of dentistry, Dr Evans enjoys a range of outdoor activities, including surfing, kayaking, and spending time with his dogs. As a local resident of the Sunshine Coast, he appreciates the area's natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
Ms Ruby Edmonds is a compassionate and skilled Oral Health Therapist with 8 years of experience in delivering exceptional patient care. Her passion for health education and helping others is evident in her work, particularly with children, nervous patients, and those with dental anxiety. Ruby's experience working with The Royal Flying Doctors Service and volunteering in Cambodia has given her a unique perspective on the transformative power of dental care.


With a background in a Paediatric Specialist clinic, Ruby is dedicated to providing gentle, informative, and supportive care to her patients. Her interests include children's dentistry, in-chair whitening, and non-surgical treatment of gum disease. Ruby's calm and caring demeanor puts patients at ease, and she takes pride in building lasting relationships with them.


Outside of the clinic, Ruby enjoys practicing Pilates, walking her dog, and entertaining friends from South Australia at her hinterland home. As a local Sunshine Coast resident, she loves the area's perfect balance of relaxed lifestyle and community spirit. Ruby's commitment to exceptional care was recognised when she was awarded Bupa Australia's Oral Health Therapist of the Year in 2024. She looks forward to helping patients achieve optimal oral health and confidence in their smiles.
Ruby made the big move from Adelaide to join the team at Bupa Dental Noosa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Adelaide. Currently, she is working as an oral health therapist at Bupa Dental Noosa, with an aim to provide optimal dental hygiene and children’s dentistry services to her patients.

Ruby is a big believer in jumping in headfirst and enjoys a challenge. She has previously volunteered her time in Cambodia, providing dental services to underprivileged children, and has also flown remotely with the Royal flying Doctors service, delivering oral health care to remote patients.

Ruby is a gentle and friendly practitioner who aims to ensure patient comfort, especially for people with anxiety and young children. She is also active in expanding her knowledge and is always involved in continual professional development.

In her free time, you can find Ruby learning golf, playing netball or enjoying the beautiful waters of Noosa on her stand-up paddle board.
