Meet our staff Dr Kevin Lim completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1993 at the University of Sydney. He has since gained extensive experience in the public, private and insurance sectors, commencing at Westmead Hospital Dental Clinical School and then over a decade in private practice on the North Shore and Northern Beaches of Sydney. He has held clinical leadership roles at AHM Dental and Eyecare Practice and Pacific Smiles Dental. His most gratifying experience as a dentist was a trip to China surveying the dental conditions of children at remote villages and educating them on their oral care. Kevin is passionate about helping his patients feel better and achieving it through minimally invasive techniques. Kevin is a comprehensive dentist with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and treatment under sedation. Outside of dentistry Kevin enjoys nothing better than doing some laps at Dee Why pool, Malaysian deserts, cuddles from his daughter and modernist architecture. Dr Lelia Sarram graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Dentistry. She has several years’ experience in private practice both in Melbourne and Sydney. Dr Leila enjoys all aspects of dentistry but especially cosmetic dentistry. She strives to form long-lasting relationships with patients based on trust. When not saving teeth, she enjoys travelling and spending quality time with family and friends. Over his three decades as a dentist, Dr Nathan Abrahams has learned that dentistry can (and often should) involve a healthy dose of humour. He makes it his mission to provide ethical care while creating a relaxed environment during every appointment.

Nathan’s empathetic, caring nature makes it a breeze for him to help patients who face dental anxieties. He strives to put himself in each patient’s shoes, and always follows his core belief that if isn’t good enough for himself, it’s not good enough for a patient. He adopts open communication during dental visits, and aims to convey all oral health information with full transparency and in plain language.

When he’s not at the clinic or spending time with his family, Nathan is big on getting outdoors, and can usually be found coaching local footy, going swimming or scuba diving.
Although skilled with all aspects of general dentistry, Dr Maryam Varzeshi today works predominantly with dentistry cosmetics and surgeries. Maryam is genuinely passionate about her craft, constantly expanding her range of treatments by studying up-to-date literature and dentistry technology. She’s also adding to her aesthetic and restorative dentistry diplomas, studying a Graduate Diploma in Implantology.

A gentle and understanding dentist, Maryam believes working with complete honesty is key when it comes to helping her patients achieve sustainable oral health. That’s why she works hard to understand her patients’ needs, asking about their past experiences in the chair and their expectations going forward. Maryam also endeavours to provide pros and cons on every available treatment option when consulting with her patients.

Like any of us, a good work/life balance is important to Maryam. That’s why when she’s not working, Maryam’s catching up with friends at a café or a local tennis court.
Dr James Murphy qualified from The University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Medical Science (honours) in 2007 and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2012. He passed the MFDS (Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery) Glasgow Postgraduate examinations in 2013. James’ approach to Dental care is very much focused on education and prevention in the first instance. By attending extensive courses across Australia, James keeps up to date with the most recent advances in Dentistry. As well as working in General Practice for many years, James has broad experience of working in Hospital based dental settings. Outside of Dentistry he enjoys keeping fit and making the most of the Australian weather, scenery and food. Dr Kenon Chan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Dundee in 2010 and his MFDS (Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery) at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2011. Dr Chan enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially working as a team with his patients to develop a foundation of comfort and trust. He also likes keeping up to date with all the new options available for patients due to technological advancements. He believes that the best policy in dentistry is early prevention to help maintain happy, healthy teeth. And he wants future patients to know that he is always happy to answer any questions and that there are no silly questions when it comes to oral health. Kenon enjoys the sunny Sydney culture and having a strong work-life balance (although he does miss some of the unhealthier treats from back home in Scotland).
